ARCLIGHT

Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 August 2026. Applies to the ARCLIGHT Android application and to arclightgame.space.

ARCLIGHT has no accounts. You are never asked for an email address, a phone number, a name that identifies you, or permission to read your location or contacts. The game keeps a randomly generated identifier so your runs can be placed on a leaderboard, and that identifier is the only thing linking one run to another.

1. Who is responsible

ARCLIGHT is published by an independent developer. For any question about this policy or about your data, write to privacy@arclightgame.space.

2. What the game sends to our server

Ranked play requires a connection, because the random seed a run is played on is issued by our server. Without that, scores could not be checked and the leaderboard would be meaningless. The following is sent:

DataWhy
Random device identifier A version 4 UUID generated on your device the first time the game runs. It is not derived from your hardware, your advertising ID, or any account. It exists so your best run can be recognised as yours across sessions.
Display name Optional, chosen by you, shown on the leaderboard. Left empty it records as ANON.
Country A two letter country code for the country leaderboard, taken from your device language settings or from the network edge that receives the request. No location permission is requested and no coordinates are stored.
Run results Score, wave reached, threat tier, risk multiplier, duration, the seed the run was played on, and which weapons and relics the run used.
Technical request data Standard web server logs kept by our hosting provider, including IP address and timestamp, used to operate the service and to detect abuse.

We do not sell this data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

3. What stays on your device

Your settings, your local records and your progress are stored in the app's own private storage on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them.

4. Advertising

The free version of ARCLIGHT shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. Google is an independent controller of the data it collects through its SDK, which may include your advertising identifier, IP address, and information about your device, and which it uses to select and measure ads. We do not receive that data in a form that identifies you.

Buying the Remove Ads item stops all advertisements permanently on that Google account.

5. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. We receive only the confirmation that the purchase is valid, which is what unlocks the ad-free experience.

6. Children

ARCLIGHT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided data to us, contact us and it will be removed.

7. How long data is kept

8. Your rights and how to use them

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, or erase your data, to object to processing, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom these rights come from the GDPR; in Turkey they come from KVKK Law No. 6698.

Our legal basis for processing leaderboard data is our legitimate interest in operating a competitive game and keeping it free of cheating. For advertising where consent is required, the basis is your consent.

9. Where data is processed

Leaderboard data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider in the European Union. Google processes advertising and payment data under its own terms and may transfer it internationally under standard contractual clauses.

10. Security

All traffic between the game and our server uses HTTPS. Access to the database is restricted to the application and to the developer.

11. Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the updated version is published here before it takes effect.
